Teslim AbdulRaouf holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Bayero University, Kano, in 2021 and went to the Nigeria Law School, where he obtained his Barrister in Law in 2022. He is an awardee of an Associate Certificate in Islamic Banking and Finance (ACIBF) from the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance and an ALX Fellow in AI Career Essential.

Teslim is experienced in Banking and Finance, Litigation, and Corporate Practice. He was a state counsel with the Ministry of Justice, Umuahia, Abia State, and the Department of Civil and Criminal Litigation, where he gathered his experience in criminal and civil litigation. He was also an Associate at Amaran and Associate, where he gathered Admiralty law, Trademarks, and Banking and Finance Experience.

Teslim has been a member of several professional bodies such as the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA- Section on Business Law, ALX Fellow, and others. He also speaks on RapidFm Friday programs titled “The Legal Standpoint.”

MAJOR CASES & SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • State of Lagos v. Anselem Nweze – In this case, I represented the Defendant in a pro-bono matter in which he was wrongfully accused of arson, belonging to an unlawful society, and improperly disposing of a corpse. The court granted by prayer, and the charge was struck, and he was discharged according to the court order.

  • Pablo Amaran v. Leslie Jane Tinuade – I played a significant role in getting Judgement for the Claimant in the Debt Recovery matter from the Defendant owing to the sum of N2,000,000.00. 

  • Registered Trustees of Nigerian Nurses and Midwifery v. Vraie Limited – I played a significant role in the Debt Recovery matter for the Claimant. Judgement was given in favour of the Claimant.

  • I was also part of the matter instituted by the Hon. Attorney General of Abia State against the owner of a Baby Factory discovered by the Nigerian Army in Abia State (Confidential)

  • Sharon Uzondu v. Weay Technologies – In a case of Improper termination of an employee without due notice as provided by the law, I represented the Claimant, and judgment was given to the extent payment should be given to the claimant in lieu of failure to give due notice. I also represented the claimant in the garnishee proceedings upon getting a judgment from the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, sitting at Lagos.

  • Chief (Mrs) Gladys Ndubuisi Kanu v. Kelly Ndubuisi Kanu – In this case, I played a significant role in getting a judgment for the claimant on the controversy of her husband’s properties upon his demise.
